BIOGRAPHIES OF OUR MAIN CHARACTERS |
Early Life: Raised by a lone mare, Stone did not grow up in the safety of a herd, and it was really just luck that he survived at all. His mother, Hooves Of Steel, never told him much about his father, only that the odd patched coat and his significant height came from his sire. He was taught to hate domesticated horses, and to consider them weak, so it was a huge shock to him when, at the time when he was just coming into his own as a young stallion, he and his mother found themselves back to where his life had started, and he came face to face with his father, Richard the Lionheart, a large, but incredibly placid gypsy vanner stallion. Furious with his mother, and ashamed of his domestic heritage, he slew the large stallion, abandoned his mother and roamed the world for an undetermined period of time. His time as a lone bachellor stallion earned him many battlescars and a reputation that preceded him wherever he went. His anger and hatred of his own bloodlines, which he saw to be weakness led him, and still does lead him to terrorize other stallions, to take their mares and steal their territories. On Arabian Nights: Since arriving at Arabian Nights, Stone has adopted the realm as his home, it is the only place where he is able to find peace, but occasionally his wanderlust returns, and he will disappear for a time, usually returning in a rather beat-up, exhausted state. In the past, he has had many rivals, one of the most notable, the Blood-and-Snow stallion, Mad About You. Both of these stallions terrorised Arabian Nights at the same time in the early days, and the rivalry between them was something that will not easily be forgotten. He is still seething with anger over his bloodline, and often takes this out on unsuspecting stallions by way of challenges for mares or territories he does not really want, though his favorite target is his own son, Phantom Of The Opera, who's dam was a domesticated mare. His hatred of all weakness leads him to seek out only the strongest, hardiest mares in the land, those that could survive the hostile desert conditions that he prefers to call home.
Se7en is the son of What Night Fears and Hell's Revenge. From his humble beginnings, the stallion has led a life of destruction, and of dismal hope. His dam, Hell's Revenge, was forcebred during his conception, and soon after the young Se7en was born, she was brutally attacked and left to die on the rocky sands of Eagle Valley. No one really knows what brought "Fear" to commit such a brutal act, but it is rumored that perhaps it is the tainted blood of feared hellion Mad About You, and the insanity he so willingly passed onto his children that spurred his atrocious actions. Thus, the young colt was introduced to a world of hatred, a world without alliances or friendly faces to aide on his journey... and as he grew older, very little changed the stallion. That is, until she came along. The grandson of Mad was every bit the proclaimed demon they called him, terrorizing the lands with a merciless hand and a knack for thievery and fighting. He collected many trophies, most due to his victory of the battlefield... and very few came to him willingly. One of these, was a fiery chestnut mare known simply as Fire Dancer. They say that love is blind, and perhaps it is... for who could love such a creature as Se7en. Scarred inside and out, one ear tattered to shreads by a bout with a particularly stubborn mare, he was hardly a prize for a woman to behold. And yet, the female was patient with him, was kind, and eventually opened his heart to the possibility of a brighter tomorrow. All was well, and Se7en quieted for some time, content to thrive in the growing love that his "phoenix" mare provided... until one day, she was mysteriously gone. It is said that the disappearance of his beloved brought Se7en great sorrow, and he returned to his old antics with style, developing new tastes for violence and becoming more and more the name whispered around the ranch in fear. Equally etched in the pages of AN's history are the names of those that replaced Fire Dancer as his lead. Bonita, Hatari... the names of these fierce warrior queens were as revered and well known throughout the lands, and Se7en's herd became known to all as a band of rebels, renegades and theives. In a signature move, Se7en also began stealing whatever herds he could, parting them into small pieces and handing them off to other stallions as trophies - making it nearly impossible for the original herd alpha to regain all of his mares... and it was all under the simple name of pain, and to make the other suffer as he did. Firmly believing that if he couldn't have his happiness, that no others could, Se7en continued to ravage the lands, and though he may have quieted today, there is still that demon lurking under the surface - eager to rise again.
